ABOUT NAMING…
LOOMI is dedicated to being the luminous guiding light for people who are suffering in the darkness of bulimia.
CHALLENGE 2
How can I build trust with people who have bulimia so they feel safe and comfortable participating in user research?
DEFINE TARGET USER
FIND THE MARKET GAP
During the interview process, both target users and care companion interviewees raised concerns about "the tone" of this app. People who have bulimia are already suffering from unimaginable physical and mental pain. When they come to this app, all they want is a supportive and private environment.
Use yellow as the main theme color since it is often associated with positivity, warmth, and energy from a psychological standpoint.
Use muted & pastel color as supportive colors.
Use welcoming & supportive language.
Since the very beginning of the design process of LOOMI, I decided to provide this app a maximum amount of privacy through the overall experience, and the user testing results proofed me right.
The users like how this app is anonymous and even in the community section.
CHALLENGE 3
How can I design a gentle and soothing interface using pastel colors and contextual elements to support users emotionally?
I have three well-developed designs, but I ultimately chose the first as it best fits the app’s tone.
